1. Tweed Suit. For the chilly days ahead. This Ludlow model from J. Crew is smartly cut from chunky bird’s-eye English tweed.
2. North by Northwest. Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller still keeps me on the edge of my seat and also features, I think, the most elegant combination of a man and a suit ever captured on film.
3. Ultima Thule barware. Tapio Wirkkala’s 1968 design for Ittala still looks refreshing, even if it’s not filled with E.H. Taylor Single Barrel Bourbon poured over a big block of ice (for instance). Available from Finnstyle.
