United Nations Trusteeship Counsel Chamber designed by Finn Juhl in 1950-52. Shown here in its original state, this striking interior by the Danish architect and furniture designer Finn Juhl is currently undergoing a complete restoration financed by the Danish government.
Finn Juhl 45 Chair. My favorite chair, created by the “father of Danish modern design” in 1945. A real one is on my very long term wish list.
Georg Jensen Peacock Pitcher. Designed by Alfredo Haberli (who, admittedly, is not Danish) in 2011 for the venerable Danish silversmith Georg Jensen, this stainless steel pitcher is beautiful, functional and accessible.
Brass Door Handle Sets by Arne Jacobsen. Designed for his 1958-60 SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen –along with nearly all of the other fixtures, furniture, lighting and textiles for this iconic building.
Jens Risom Bench. Designed in the 1950s, this classic bench is cushy and light at the same time.
