I ducked in for some sweet Italian sausage (with lots of fennel –delicious) and ended up browsing for nearly half an hour at this treasury of Italian specialty foods on Bleecker street. Tidy, cheerful, spotless, friendly, reasonable and well-stocked, it’s everything a neighborhood store should be.
In Southampton for the annual Spring ritual of household repairs and service, most of which we managed to schedule on the same day. The highlight: the dreary, dirty canvas cover was replace by a clean, sparkling swimming pool! Now if it were just about 25 degrees warmer . . .
